Homecrest House Honored to Welcome Congressional Staffers

On Monday, April 15th, Homecrest House was honored to welcome Congressional Staffers Angela Ohm, Rebecca Salay, Doug Disrud, and Alyssa Hinman. The staffers work on the Congressional committee that funds Section 202 buildings and were interested in learning about how our community functions.

From the B’nai B’rith International Center for Senior Services was Janel Doughten, Associate Director, Evan Carmen, Assistant Director for Aging Policy and Gracie Cohen, Program Associate. Also in attendance was Kendra Kuehn from the American Association of Service Coordinators. They spoke with a number of our residents who shared their rewarding experiences at Homecrest including: participating in and even leading programs, volunteering to help their neighbors, and how they give back to the community as a whole.
